Hello. This is my first blog, ever. My name if Pam and I am self-publishing the tales from my late husband, Bob. Other than business letters, this is the only time I have attempted to write any stories. So this is a major undertaking. Quite a bit to learn.
Christmas will be his 1 year death anniversary. I miss you my Bobbert.
Anyway, our current book, TESCARA, is based on a house that we lived in while he wrote the story. We lived in that house for over 15 years. I hated the house. It is an old house, over one hundred years. And the basement was just as described. Dirt floor and brick walls. I always wondered if there was a body buried in the basement. The basement was always full of spiders, which I abhor. YUCK!!.
The book hasn't received many reviews, but over 100 copies have been downloaded since I published it on Smashwords. In some ways, no reviews are good reviews. People tend to criticize rather than praise.
Our next tale, ARTHUR MERLIN: The One and Only is slowly coming along. This is one of my favorites. All I have to work with are very rough drafts, mostly dialogue. So I am trying to add feelings and interplay between the different characters. Sometimes they take off on a wrong path and I have to rethink what he was trying to say. He was very adamant about changing the dynamics of the story. That was one reason we could never get the published before. He just couldn't change anything in his rough drafts.
Well, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
